Woodland adventure

  • The joy of discovering the natural world

Every week our children in Early Years have the fantastic opportunity to ‘get into nature’ with our ‘Woodland Adventure’ afternoon. Discovery sessions takes place in Banstead Woods or Carshalton’s Wilderness Island and may involve den building, story-telling, animal tracking, exploring habitats, bug hunts and much more. In supporting the development of a relationship between the learner and the natural world, we can begin to nurture resilient, confident, independent and creative learners. It offers our young Collingwood learners the opportunity to take supported risks appropriate to the environment and to challenge themselves in a wonderful woodland setting.
